Every day I come across new crowdfunding pleas from Kiwis, trying to raise money to access potentially life-saving treatments for themselves or their loved ones. They're usually calling on family, friends, or strangers for support as they don't have the funds to purchase breakthrough drugs that haven't been chosen to receive funding from PHARMAC.
