Terminal cancer patients denied new treatments due to slow TGA approval
31 March 2021 - Desperate cancer patients are begging Australia’s drugs regulator to save lives by speeding up approvals and cutting testing costs for sufferers.
The Therapeutic Drugs Administration has been criticised for failing to recognise overseas approvals for innovative drugs, while advanced cancer patients are begging for access to molecular testing that could alert them to possible new treatments earlier.
