30 November 2017 - Lorica Health's CEO Paul Nicolarakis says the health analytics company is helping the industry and government deal with the "market failures and perverse incentives that riddle healthcare."
"Australia does not have a health system: it has a loosely aggregated collection of highly dysfunctional markets, that don't really serve any of the intended stakeholders properly," he says.
Lorica's initial technology was designed to watch over the financial markets for inefficiencies and fraud, but it is now applying its technology to healthcare which remains one of the nation's most inefficient sectors.
