Patients, health organisations band together to bring breakthrough treatments to Canada sooner

21 October 2020 - Thirteen health charities and patient groups are calling on the Canadian government to improve access to life-changing medical treatments.

The organizations, including the ALS Society of Canada, Canadian Cancer Survivor Network, Fighting Blindness Canada and Cystic Fibrosis Canada, have banded together for the new Protect Our Access campaign.

They say Canada lags behind other countries when it comes to bringing breakthrough drugs to patients, and they blame the federal Patented Medicine Prices Review Board.
