International price comparison of medicines (2022)
31 January 2023 - The price of prescription drugs in Sweden has fallen compared to other countries since 2014 and is currently among the lowest in Europe.
The main explanation for this is that the Swedish krona has weakened in relation to the euro during this period. This is shown in the annual international price comparison report produced by the Dental and Medical Benefits Agency (TLV)..
The report compares the prices of medicines in Sweden with the prices in 19 European countries.
