IQWiG

16 September 2019 - For the first time, an IQWiG team is in charge of assessing health technology for the European network EUnetHTA.

Learning from each other and benefiting from each other: That is the basic idea of the European Network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA). The aim of the cooperation is to make cross-border scientific and technological cooperation between European HTA promoting agencies. It is also about avoiding unnecessary duplication of work.

Because not need in each country has its own at any diagnostic or therapeutic intervention HTA - report will be created. HTAReports from other European countries, or evaluations created jointly by individual HTA agencies, may also be used as a basis for reimbursement decisions in other countries. The EU Commission is aiming to create legal foundations for this soon.
