25 May 2018 - Victoria’s stocks of the flu vaccine are almost exhausted and remaining supplies will be reserved for those at most risk.
The vaccine will be only be available in Victoria for children between six months and five years of age; pregnant women; Indigenous people aged 15 years and over; people with medical conditions that could make them more predisposed to falling severely ill with flu; and those aged over 65 years, as unprecedented demand has led to a nationwide shortage.
The state has asked the Turnbull government to help it source more of the vaccine.
