21 July 2021 - Real world evidence remains a promising frontier in evidence generation to support improved health related patient outcomes. It is defined as evidence derived from analyses of real world data (ie, other than data from controlled clinical trials).

Real world evidence thus draws on the complex and diverse landscape of data from medical claims, electronic medical records, genomic records, and disease registries, among others.
