19 May 2022 - PHARMAC has had its biggest ever funding boost, but some New Zealanders fear it still won’t be enough to keep them alive.
The drug buying agency will receive an extra $71 million in the next financial year, and $120 million the following year, Health Minister Andrew Little announced in Thursday’s Budget.
But while Labour MPs cheered as Little delivered the news, the announcement left Wellington man Edward Lee “absolutely gutted”.
