Breast cancer sufferer calls for life-saving Kadcyla drug to be publicly funded
13 August 2018 - A cancer sufferer is calling for PHARMAC to fund a potentially life-saving drug.
Clare Dunlop, 53, has been on chemotherapy and Herceptin, but her oncologist has told her the best drug would be non-Government funded Kadcyla, which specifically targets tumours.
The drug costs $8300 a time, while the infusion costs a further $1200.
