Breakthrough drug would give child with cystic fibrosis a future
21 October 2020 - A 13 year-old boy with cystic fibrosis would have a much better quality and quantity of life if he could access a breakthrough drug for people with the condition. But the drug comes at a huge cost.
Kase Williams is left hoping for PHARMAC funding for the treatment, which could give him a future, but the drug buyer hasn’t received an application from the drug’s manufacturer to make it available in New Zealand.
